Default DSM Injector question

i bought a set of DSM 450s from a guy on HMT. they came with the little black caps all busted up. i was wondering if these are necessary for sealing anything or if i can just take them off because i will have the Honda seal on the injectors? The guy at the parts counter at Mitsubishi cant seem to find them, he thinks that you have to buy a complete injector to get them

I don't really understand why but these plastic things are always broken. There's not a set of dsm injectors without broken plastic caps.
I have a set of 390's here, 3 of them have broken plastic thingies.
