I think 5psi is the max on those POS 2G BOVs !! I spend almost 5 hours trying to figure out why a boost controller wouldn't work in his GS-T... low and behold the stock boost was 12psi and the BOV wouldn't let it go past 12psi.. Replaced it and the car went straight to 17psi..

Soooo.. why are you thinking it was only 5 if it released at 12? I guess I don't understand..

the BOV was letting air escape through it so the TB was only seeing the 5psi cuz the BOV was "bleeding" it off.

Go get a BOV, don't waste time without one they are cheap insurance for your turbo. plus they sound damn good!!

go to a yard and grab one off something, or buy one at a performancec shop!
