Is the highest octane gas a must with a turbo or can regular 87 octane do the trick if managed well with afc hack.

 

Look at octane as an anti-knock drug. the higher the number the better the fuel will resist knock/detonation. a high octane fuel is always recommended when running high compression levels. obviously when your boosted, your adding to your already fairly high cylinder compression. just use the 91 man!

 

If u wanna go crazy go to the paint store or arts store and get a few galons of toluene and mix that in with 94.
Its what they use to run in the 80s on the turbo F1 cars

 

ya its a cheap *** way to make cam2(race gas) it is about 115 octane nice ---- every one runs it here on there 4wheelers and dirtbikes

 

This sounds interesting. Whats the ratio you mix it at? My buddy (back when we were young) experimented with octane booster in his special 50. It was about 90% octane booster and 10% gas. It was fast for about 10 seconds before it gernaded
