Default diy air/water ic?

anybody ever try to make your own air/water ic??

I have a 1g eclipse intercooler that I am not using right now... I was thinking if I could make a leakproof box that goes around the core part, put a bulkead fitting in either side.. bam! diy air/water cooler!

what do you think? any comments?

is that how an air/water ic works?

yup, bob, (turborex) did that with some dsm intercoolers.

I used a saab intercooler for my race car, homemade air-water, just a custom box welded around the cooler, with 2 fittings on top and bottom for water circulation.
