that rhi is a good turbo since those vws' don't rev as high
setup looks good. i'd put a dsm side mount intercooler at ground level, next to the turbo just for cooler intake.

For the IC we want to use the MX6 one, but the AC has to be removed, and the front end has to come off to get at the evapourator coil. We where running late to begin with and that just seemed like to much work at that time.

As for breaking them loose, YES! If your on the throttle traction is close to nothing in first gear. The car isn't fast but still much faster than it was. I want to see him go a VR6 golf for a good comparison.

Shouldn't the MAF go on the outlet side of the turbo?

He modified the stock VW one, welded a turbo flange on it.
