D16Z6 full boost at 5000rpm on a 14b? WTF
i have a 92 civic si with a stock D16Z6 and i installed a 14b with 450s and a small front mount with 2-2 1/2" charge pipes on the hot side and 2 1/2-3" on the cold side, I am running a crome basemap and it runs really good. it starts spooling at 3500rpm but doesnt hit 10lbs untill 5000rpm. I thought that a 14b is supposed to have full boost real low, was wondering if i changed to 2" pipes on the hot side and 2 1/4 on the cold side it would make it hit full boost quicker or if I just need a tune. also i have no boost leaks at all thanks for any input

Try unhooking the wastegate and replacing it with a carb spring pulled decently tight to see if it still does it. It could be a weak wastegate spring and the exhaust pressure just might be pushing the flapper open too far. It shouldn't take anywhere near that long to make 10psi out of that little guy, I'd say 3400rpm at the latest.
