Default d16y7 boost questions.

Sup, I'm the new guy on the board. Anyway I'm in the progress of getting together my kit for my d16y7. I was wondering what the projected max boost would be on stock internals. My plans are 450cc injectors, the safc hack, fpr, new pump, ignition, then eventually full internals. Im basically just trying to figure out what I should start to boost at when the kit is done before I add my fuel mods, and then how much boost will be too much until detonation.

Btw. I'm going to be running a garret t3.

7psi is the max on stock internals(i beleive)... but i think you'll be fine with 5 or 6psi....

Should I boost 5-6 with out fuel mods, injectors AFC blah blah. Or are you meaning I should be good 5-6 with my mods. My original thought was to stick at 3psi until I get enough mods to make myself feel confident. lol. The reason I'm going slow with it is I lost my job.

You can easily run 8-10psi with a afc hack and 450cc injectors (with front mount) no problem on your engine. But it needs to be tuned well. I recommend doing this on a dyno..

Lots of people just run 5-7psi on the street, and crank them up at the track. But if you use that fuel management, you will be fine either way.
