I run Honda MTL myself, but my friend Alex told me to use the Syncromesh to help with my third gear grind. He said it smoothed his out totally. I have another tranny waiting anyway, but won't be able to put it in for a little while. Why do you say it doesn't work well? Personal experience?

don't double your headgaskets! your compression islow enough, I've already went through this querry with my b16, I ended using lowered compression pistons, but if you insist you wanna lower your compression, one gasket is good enough. cometic will gaskets up to 3mm thick, greddy also, check race engineering. or cybernation, I went with a 1.7mm that was way thicker than stock

on a d16 the compression is 9.5.1, in a b16 the compression is 10.5.1 or so. a thicker head gasket is not necessary for a d16, but if you must only use one, trust this one its not worth stacking them.
