God its nice to be back on the road
Well after a 'couple' of months of being down from broken ringlands and smoked turbo the POS is back in action. Its amazing how fun your car is when you've been driving a Buick Park Ave for a long time...
I snapped these B4 I put my bumper cover on, thats one tasty Custom Coach IC.....
I changed a few things since the last setup, mainly a .63 housing for the T3, the new Custom Coach IC, and some ITR cams. After my 40 miles of beating....errr seating the rings, It was interesting on how the ITR cams reacted to boost vs the stock B16's. With boost set at a conservative 7psi the low speed lobes seem to have better mid range. On the top end its a bit interesting, whereas the B16 cams had a seemless transition at 5400, the ITR's dont like to be switched until about 6000. Any less and there is a noticable drop in power. They really come alive at 6500. The B16 cams would level off at 8k and start dumping at 8300-8400, these little ******* keep pulling solid to 8400. Im not gonna rev higher till I get some real springs and retainers in there, but I bet peak torque has moved up to 8500ish. This thing is gonna rip at 12psi.
Ahhh, nice to boosting again.
Jeff, be sure to tell me when your gonna dyno tune your new engine, I wanna do mine again also.

Nice... looks like fun. Hey you guys better tell me when your getting your ---- dyno tuned and hopefully by then my turbo project will be done. Even if it's not I want to come watch so I will know what the hell I am doing when I finally do get mine finished and dyno tuned.

Re:God its nice to be back on the road
This must be my lucky week
On the way home from the shop the timing belt broke; and at about 7k and 10psi.
Thank god I was close to Shucks and picked up a timing belt for a late night random parking lot install.
I thought for sure the valves were fucked, but it started right up and still getting the same 21" of vacuum at idle.
For some reason this always cracks me up.
How to tighten your crank pulley when you dont have a torque wrench on you and nobody to hold the brake down.
