the d series upgrade
hey guys two questions....
just bought a big 16g evo turbo with a 9.8 wheel to replace my cracked and leaky 14b on my d16y8.
1st question.... does anyone know what the stock internal wastegate actuator opens at on this turbo so i can decide whether or not to buy a boost controller because i can't be running 18psi on this turbo on a stock bottom end.
2nd question.... do you run the coolant lines to this turbo? i just plugged mine on the 14b but since this turbo is slightly bigger should i run them?
thanks.... hope my first thread post on here gets me some good feedback

ok, is it a necessity though? i know the main reason for those is because at one point the car had a warranty so everyone wanted to make sure they stayed cool even though the oil does a well enough job at it..... do you have a pic though of your setup?

its not necessary, but if you think about it do stock cars have a turbo timer?
no, a turbo will coke up the oil when the oil stops flowing after a hard run with alot of heatsoak, so if you have a turbo-timer or dont have a problem giving the turbo some cool down time itll be ok, but if your impatient or dont have a turbo timer id hook up the coolant lines..
just another security measure imo
