I did a 3" out of mandrell bends and used an oval 3" in and 3" out Mangaflow muffler. Its a bit loud but not too bad. But my car feels so much better then when i had the 2.5" piping. 98ctr

Re:Custom exhaust.. any recommendations?
i have a homemade ghetto 2.5", part of the system is from a full up JDM Kakimoto catback with a a Kakimoto Fullmega Hyper N1 muffler for a turbo CTR. the rest of it is custom 2.5" with a 2.5" resonator from magnaflow.
the system sounds nasty on even my stock dx... really low and quiet up until 4k... nice rumble at idle ... after that it sounds like a swarm of really pissed off bees
i dont even know what its going to sound like once my turbo goes on... especially with 3" downpipe
kakimoto is like impossible to find in the US but i found my full catback system with a dent in the piping for 100$ at a JDM junkyard... the guy didn't even know what he was selling me the exhaust retails in japan for like $900 or something

It will probably sound much better. With my car being turbo now with open downpipe, its about the same volume as the car was N/A with a full exhaust and cannister style muffler.
