I'm looking to pick up an intercooler for my mini me turbo project. With the compressor housing having to go on the passenger side running a DSM sidemount seems like kind of a pain but could be done. Anybody have any experience with this and what would work the best?

 

you can use a front mount (cca is the best!!! ), just get a "U" bend and run it to the drivers side and to the end tank. It'll take a lil more piping, but it'll be worth it

Correct me if I wrong, but if he's running a HF with a 14b Does the compressor go to the Drivers side? That's how it is on mine and every other one I've seen! I treid the other way (by accidient by messing up my adaptor plate) and it hit's the block

 

just get a cca or jrc intercooler. They are cheap and effective.

Money is really tight on this now and I need to keep it as cheap as possible. I just traded my way into a DSM sidemount and am going to use this. What is my easiest route to get piping to it? Should I take the piping out of the top of the turbo over the turbo, down and to the smic?

 

dude... take ur bumper off and take a look then make it work.

Can't hold ur hands through one of the simplest parts of the install. I used a modded Starion IC btw. FMIC for cheap.

 

DUDE....I know, my car is out back, I haven't driven it in a bit, just trying to get some ideas. Maybe somebody has a better one than I might come up with. There are more ways than one to do this and if you've done it once, maybe you would know that its not always easy figuring out the best way to do things. This is my second turbo setup and I think somebody has done one like this before so just trying to save myself some work.
