Hey guys,
I want to get my hands dirty. I bought a stick welder (95 amp I think) and I was looking at some tubing from JC Whitney; I can only find two types of tubing that look okay. Stainless steel and aluminized steel, mandrel bends, etc. Which is better? can I even weld "aluminized steel" (whatever that is) with a stick welder?

Yeah you can weld aluminized. Its just a coating and it burns off when you weld it. It smells funny and gives you cancer or parkinson's or something like that. But that is what I would reccomend

id reccommend jcwhitney.....customcoach bends are 4 dollars more for less material. i bought some because anthonys intercoolers are so damn sick and i run one, but i got the bends and was a little dissappointed in what i got to be honest. there is no sraight legs on it. jc whitney is cheaper and you get either 12 or 24 inch legs .

but you are right JC might be the place, except Im a Summit man myself. And summit will beat any JC price, just call them up and I think they'll beat the JC price as long as its advertised
