Default Current turbo vs X turbo (New question)

The setup that I am using now is based off of a DSM T25. I already have all my ---- built for the dsm stuff so for now I'm going to keep that route. I am considering purchasing a EVO III or Big 16g turbo to replace the current one and my question is will it really make that big of a difference. This is all on a '88 hatch w/ dohc zc that's in the higher 13s in the quarter with the little turbo. I want to be able to be knocking on the 12 second times now and is this whats going to get me there? Thanks for the legitimate info.

****NEW QUESTION****
I ran the t25 for about 1500mi worked great and boosted til redline without issue. I swapped out the t25 for a 14b I had laying around that was in great shape but it seems to die out. The 14b will go til redline in 1st & 2nd but 3rd & 4th the boost drops to about 5psi from the 10psi it was boosting. This happens around 5500-6000rpms. I thought that the 14b>t25 so what the hell is going on here? The 14b has great pull when it is @ 10psi vs th t25 but whats with this drop. I am using a greddy profec B boost controller as well..

16g is way more potent than a T25.

No ----! I'm in on the block blowing turbo FTW!
I would assume that with the bigger turbo that 12s are not out of the question then.

if you want to go bigger, id check out slowboyracing.com.My buddy has a galant vr4 with a stock dsm manifold and hes running the same turbo as i have(PTE 5031E).They offer a few good turbos with the dsm flange, which im guessing your using.Id honestly suggest a t3 60 trim with a .48 hotside.Itll keep the spool times down and offer a good gain in cfm.Just dont go too big or you run into the problem i have.I have a big quick spooling turbo but not enough motor to get into the turbos efficiency range. The turbo im running doesnt come alive until about 18-20psi.Good luck either way.

Yea........not to in the CDM.
Just a little update though, I had a great condition 14b on my shelf and was bored on Sat. so I decided to throw it on there and try it out. The great hit out of the 14b vs. the t25 is refreshing! I can only hope to see greater results with the EVO III turbo when I get off of my lazy *** and work some overtime so I can get one. Til then I'm going to continue to rock the 14b and keep the t25 for a back up. Have a merry ------- christmas!!!
