I am using mild steel flanges and 304 stainless elbows and 321 stainless straight sections. I am not sure how the welds will hold when heat cycled but I will soon find out. This is my frankenstein manifold.

I will post up some more pictures tonight.

Hey,
Also wondering if you can get a few more different angles of the manifold. I'm wondering how the center peices meet the outer peices.

that's awesome work!! Congrats to you. I'm attempting something like that myself but it does not look that clean. I wanted to know what size tubing you are using: 1", 1 1/2" or 2". Great work once again.

i would personally have gone with all mild steel. I really don't have any formal education in metalurgy and I'm unsure how the difference in grades will hold under high heat.

Well, I welded it up today. I am going to post up pics of the final product. It came out pretty well.

The weld came out pretty good. There was a little warping of the flanges, but nothing alittle milling won't fix. Rip away.

damn... impressive. I can see a couple spots that probably got more weld then they needed - but it's always good to over weld then underweld

I'm really liking it, looks very simple and pretty.

Im hoping that shine is from the stainless steel (bling polish) and not some mexi-chrome paint job

fatty weld on 1&2

looks good man,

It's stainless. I am going to paint it or have it Jet-Hot coated (or similar). I still havent decided on it.
