I spent about $800 for all the peices that I bought off of here. Everything that my turbo kit has in it was bought on here. The manifold, turbo, oil lines, intercooler and some other random ----. Everything else was home depot.

Re:Cost of turbo setups

actually a smaller turbo will put more stress on your engine because its hard to stay out of boost and they loose efficiency in higher rpm (more heat), especially if you go to the freeway often. So your better off getting a bigger turbo than a smaller as long as you dont dog your ---- all the time.

Re:Cost of turbo setups

I spend $1300 on my set up, t25, fmic. I thought it was only going to cost $950, but parts keep on adding up, stuff you don't think about, coolant lines, extra oil lines, wire, wire ties, clamps, new radiator after the FMIC cut off air flow to my barley hanging on old radiator, new head gasket 1 month after install... problems just keep coming up for the first few months until you get the kinks worked out. If your Really on a Tight budget...like you CAN'T spend more than $1000 for everything, then try finding a used kit here on HMT for probably $700 and go with that. I have 120,000+ on my D16Z6 running a daily 10psi with a t25 and AFC-hack, it runs good, fast spool, but not a lot of high end power, probably pushing 170-175 whp.

How is your 1/4 mile pa2play? I'm going with similar setup this summer.

i would hope more hp than that on 10psi

that's about normal for a t25, maybe a few more like 190
