Come on experts, Which junkyard intercooler is better for cooling???
I currently have three intercoolers sitting around and I'd like to know what provides the best cooling. I have a 1st gen dsm (side mount), MX6 (front mount), and a Saab 9000 (front mount - very large!!!). These three intercoolers are in great shape. Just curios to which would provide beeter cooling...
Any input would be appreciated...

The biggest one that will get the most flow...
Having the intercooler in the front is better because it's more exposed to the cool air.
Go with the biggest front mount, provided it's not the plastic one.

Okay. I have seen on here one of a Starion? What make is that? That IC is pretty darn big too. I was planning on putting in on my EK coupe. Will it work without much cutting or modifing? I also wanted it to spray paint it black. Will that clog the pores or make it vent not as well? Thanks.

the starion one will most likely need its end tanks modified to be sued on your eg, but it is a very good intercooler. and yes you can paint it, but i recomend you use the good paint they sell for painting stoves and heaters and ----, its thin and doesn't hurt the intercooler as much.

What does the IC come off of? The *blanK* Starion. Who makes it? What year? I never heard of that car before. Modded end tanks. Like the in/outlets or what? I was wondering what kind of tabs I need to have fabbed to get it to bolt on. Drill holes anywhere or anything? Pics would be nice?
Thanks!JP
It was DSM model so like Mitsubishi and Dodge. The Dodge was called a Conquest. I'd wouldn't use that Saab FMIC if my like depended on it. That thing is soo big you'd have to hack your bumper and support to ---- to make it work and then it doesn't really flow the greatest either. Just use the DSM smic or the probe ic. Much easy and it'll probably work better than that Saab ----.
