Spray it on, lightly hit it with a brass brush, hose it off.

It will EAT alum. if left on to soak.

The motor had 160k on it, oil changed every 4500-5000 miles. Only problem those miles were all short trips and engine never reallly warmed up.

I'll get pictures of one the rods when I clean them tonight.
