Re:Civic turbo help

Oh I have injectors, they are 450cc (i think) out of a first gen eclipse...I read that those work perfect for civics, but if im wrong, whats a good injector to get?

Re:Civic turbo help

what he is trying to tell you is that you cant just run the dsm injectors alone with the fuel pump, you need something like the vafc/safc,or hondata, along with your setup to tune the rate of the injectors, because alone they will be pumping too much fuel at once. as they always say make sure you fully understand before you start installation.

Re:Civic turbo help

Ok, i think i got it now...to ru the injectors and the larger flow of fuel Im going to need an AFC and some kind of EMS (Hondata which I'm planning on getting). So heres what I got so far, and planning to get, any info or suggestions would be great..
- Garrett T3 Turbo
- DX Exhaust manifold with T3 flange welded on
- 32 inch front mount IC
- 1st gen eclipse turbo 450cc injectors
- HKS SS BOV
- Oil Lines (package i bought from aptturbo)

stuff I'm planning on buying:
- Apexi (SAFC or VAFC? i have a SOHC VTEC so which one is best)
- Hondata
- Holley Fuel Pump

Re:Civic turbo help

You don't need an AFC if you are getting Hondata or vise versa. They are both able to control the injectors by themsleves. The Hondata would be my choice if you have the money. Yes, you are correct, but you only need one of them.

Re:Civic turbo help

Would it be better to get a full EMS like hondata since I am going turbo? Or could i get away with using an AFC? Because alot of people I have talked to that have turbo said i am going to need an EMS, but if i can use an AFC instead, i'll do that...

Re:Civic turbo help

Oh hell yes. You can use an AFC and some DSM 450cc injectors and boost 10psi all day long. It's not as good as a Hondata system, but it's one of my favoite methods of fuel management, plus it's cheap. :)
