I am not running a Odb2 motor. I am running a D16Z6 bottom half with a stage 3 vtec head.

ah, i see the dipstick now. in that case, like said above, you just have an expensive D15b build, no need in the obd2 style head just increased your compression over stock. and i seriously doubt you will figure out how to run both vtec soleniod properly. unless you are using crome, uberdata, ect... your standalone wont work unless you can set differant rpm determined activation switches. good luck, but in my opinion i would yank all the valvetrain out and use y8 stuff. you wont find any upgrades for the 3stage cam.

I wired the head to act as a Single Stage vtec. I wired the 1st vtec to run straight, this keep the car on 16valve all the time, then i used the standalone managment to activate the high vtec. trust me it work perfect.

Why not just leave the y8 head on it then in the first place? maybe I dont understand this correctly but all the d15b head does on a y8 is raise the compression (bad) and have 3-stages of v-tec (which you arent using anyway). At least it looks badass with 2 v-tec solenoids, lol. Good job tho, more than I could show u.

Sorry but I don`t see a 350whp motor here, especially with a single cam. Hotrex made 389? with a DOHC. Flame all you want, but sohc`s are gay...I should know, I have one

so like i said, you basically have a high compression z6/y8 mini me. i mean i just dont see the point in using a 3stage head when you wont even be using it, and it will raise the compression. in my opinion, i would drop another d15b obd1 head or a z6 head back on it to bring compression back to atleast stock and not worry about the extra wiring. or atleast fill that head w/ y8 valvetrain and cam and unshroud the valves to lower the compression and help the flow. honestly, you might see 225whp or so on 10psi unless you are running an SC61 or something ungodly like that. definately dont get your hopes up for 350whp.

apparantly you didnt read the first page of the post... he has vitara pistons, the more compression you can get out of a head swap the better. He also has rods and all the other supporting mods to get to 350hp. Read up before you go throwing your knowledge around

ok, so he has internals, whast that mean , i did read the whole thread. and it takes alot of things to get 350whp out of a SOHC... he still basically has a vitara built w/ a useless 3stage vtec head. and is nowhere close to 350whp unless he plans on running 20psi.

how do you not think he'll get close to 350 hp with a t3/t4? The fact that he has internals means he can run as much boost as it takes to make 350, but with the parts he has... i cant see it taking more than 17
