the JDM D15B is alot more arggessive is making torque over any other SOHC.

Stage 1 (0-4400 RPM): Low-lift cam lobe and long intake runners.

Stage 2 (4400-5800 RPM): High-lift cam lobe and long intake runners.

Stage 3 (5800+ RPM): High-lift cam lobe and short intake runners

Walter 05-07-2006 07:15 PM

Re: CIVIC SHOOTING FOR 350WHP with Pictures

i not, but i know some guys yes.. after to read the wiki of PGMIF.ORG about AFC's i recommend you to run with ecu chipped.

Re: CIVIC SHOOTING FOR 350WHP with Pictures

I am running stand alone management Microtech-LT8s. Chip ECU are ok, but i decide to go mircotech cause i can get better tuning with reburning chips

Walter 05-07-2006 07:21 PM

Re: CIVIC SHOOTING FOR 350WHP with Pictures

ok. but then for what do you need a AVC-R ? with Microtech-LT8s is not enough?

serialcivic 05-07-2006 07:28 PM

Re: CIVIC SHOOTING FOR 350WHP with Pictures

They have 2 different function
Microtech = Engine Management
AVCR = Boost controller

Good luck with the boost creep manifold.

oh, i thought that microtech too has option for boost... then you can to run with AVCR, but as i said before, i did read the wiki and it's not recommendable to run with AFC's (i'm dunno since what point it's true) ...

what means boost creep ?

Re: CIVIC SHOOTING FOR 350WHP with Pictures

The placement of the wastegate on that manifold isn't optimal. Nice build and nice car. Cost ?

why? what placement is optimal then for a wastegate on manifold?

It is stated that the best location for the wastegate is a location near the collector where the exhaust gas from all runners meet before it enters the turbo's turbine. In this location, the wastegate will draw exhaust gas from all cylinders before it is routed to the dump tube. In this location you will have better control of your preset boost level. Based on the location of yours, it is drawing exhaust gas from cylinder number one only, so the control over boost in not as good and the boost tends to creep. Boost creep refers to an increase in boost over the limit you've set/intend to run.

Ty Stand! :D.

so , a manifold better than her manifolds would be this?

http://www.prostreetonline.com/pso/i...cts/BBMM_m.jpg

this has the hole for WG on middle.

Not a bad setup...what's up with the a/r that you specified? .70 on the t3 side? ??? I think you have it backwards :S

are you kidding me.... you have vitara pistons. Not forged ones. I know this because they are sitting in my engine. Theres also no way you do not have massive boost creep past 10psi. Oh, and you should have ditched the bumper support to put the intercooler up higher. Other than that, your ---- looks awesome. Good to see another big boost d series.

Now thats a "stage 3" head.... the one you pictured looks pretty stock to me

what did that thing run at the track??

That was the Vitara piston as you started. I ran 13.8 using my stock motor on 11psi with only a vafc and some 450. The car is not grown up and ready to run some 11's on the 1/4. thank for clearing it up. This is a listing that i copied from my word document

I am still using the stock CAM, however is it fully port and polish.
I am planning in going with springs retainers, valves and a stage 3 cam in the future

is that your old head? It doesnt look too shiny to me ???

is that a y8? If it is, get ready for spun bearing carnage. Put a z6 crank in after you spin the #3 rod bearing.
