yeah, I think it could... d16 turbo makes pretty good torque. I'm thinking off the line, about the same, but once you got into say. .... 3rd gear, you'd start walking away... same with 4th and 5th.

There are a ton of variables to consider. I think a boosted D16 properly tuned would smoke a N/A B18 with bolt ons.

what was that one quote I read...

NA is for NOT ACCEPTABLE

---- NA Honda's what a ------- waste of money, wahoo watch my little rod and tiny piston try to make horsepower and be bad *** against these camaros that can fit all my pistons in one of their cylinders.

Erm sorry, just think its pointless to go all motor with such a small engine

I have a 98' hatch, nearly full interior (removed 15 lb back seat), with a "converted" D16Y8 (head, tranny, stock EX ecu). I did a 14.1 @ 101 on 7 psi from a T25, and on street tires. The trap speed should tell you that I'm not a great drag racer (i suck). The car should have been closer to a 13.8 at that trap. Not many NA Hondas going that fast with a full interior on street tires that I've seen. Although, I do have a friend who ran 13.3 in 5G hatch b18c1, cams, skunk2 intake mani, AEM CAI, DC header, chipped ecu, and slicks. $$$cha-ching$$$...

The car has been running great for nearly a year, and I drive it to work every day. I have spent a grand total of $1500 for my entire setup, including the Y8 "conversion" ($600) and a few "experiments". Sooo, that should give me at least another $1000 to play with before we can call even-steven on a stock b18c1...
