Don't go off of my experience, I bought a known fucked diaphram'd one for penuts and tried to patch it. Plenty of people seem to have good luck with em, I just tried to be a touch too much of a cheap ***.

I agree with a boost cut to let you know if it lets go, it is chinaman you know

the difference is easily more than that depending on which ones you compare and want to go with.

boost cut is a good idea for sure. though lots of peole have no issues with them for a lot of miles... it only takes a second to stuff the engine though.

I said what i said off of my personal experiences. I've installed SS autochrome BOV's both were HKS knock offs and they leaked boost on other turbo civics. I had a knock off greddy type-s from SS auto chrome on my SRT4 as my first BOV and it leaked like crazy and whistled all the time no matter how stiff or weak i adjusted the spring. Then once i started going over 15 PSI the damn thing would pop open and leak even worse. So i bought two REAL HKS SSQ's one for my civic and one for my SRT4 and have had no problems with them. Guess you guys have better luck with them then my friends and i have. Personally every SS auto chrome turbo kit i've installed ( on friends cars never on my own. and alll were from them or e-bay) their manifolds crack , waste gates leak or stick after the first 100 miles, i've seen waste gates fall off manifolds while driving still bolted to the flange from the manifold cracking, and the last thing i saw from them was the whole cold side of the turbo fell off the turbo while driving bending the turbine fins and you could see the bolt holes stripped out for the brakets that hold the cold side to the turbo housing. That stuff tells me it's not quality parts. the only good thing from ss auto chrome i've seen is their intercoolers thats it. I don't buy crap or cheap parts cause they will cause head aches in the long run. I'm all about home made set-up's i think spending a crap loud of money for a complete turbo kit from drag or turbonetics for 3K dollars is a joke. I've made my own for all my cars. there's more lovin involved when you build your own kit then buying one pre made plus it usually cost cheaper.

oh and as stated above. all these problems i've said where during the first test drive on day one. This was with priming the turbo with out before start up and letting the car slowing get to operating temps before driving and not ******* the **** out of the car.
