CCA T3 rebuild cartridges
Has any one tried the new cartridge from cca? it looks like a good deal, but seems to cheap for what you get.
-----------
From their site:
Garrett T3 Turbo Rebuild Cartridge
Cartridge contains new compression and turbine wheels, bearings, seals and is microbalanced.
Installation is simple - remove the 12 bolts holding your two housings together, remove your old cartridge and reassemble with the new cartridge.
**THIS IS FOR THE REBUILD CARTRIDGE ONLY - TURBO HOUSING IS NOT INCLUDED - Fits Garrett T3 Turbocharger Housing
$175
-------------
you basically have a brand new turbo provided you have a core to use for both housings. It doesnt seem too hard to do.
oh its in the catalog section on the speedpartrus.com
site

Re:CCA T3 rebuild cartridges
There was a thread a while ago that I can't find now where some dude bought one and it blew oil. Not sure what happened after or if it was the dude's fault(too much oil pressure, kinked return). I'm pretty sure he would have got a refund though if it was faulty.

Re:CCA T3 rebuild cartridges
that brings up a good point...
Is there such a thing as too much oil pressure to the turbo? I think it was the stealthmode site that sells a valve to adjust the pressure, but how would you know what the pressure is at, or should be at for any given turbo setup?
