i already have two ports in the can i made and im pretty sure you have to either have it hooked to the mani or preturbo so that it has enough vacumm to keep the valve open under boost

here's a PCV design i made up. provides good vac source under light and heavy load.

light load: IM will provide vacuum. check valve will prevent positive pressure going from IM to PCV system
heavy load: slash cut in exhust will provide vacuum. check valve will prevent odd pressure surges going from exhaust to PCV system

^ do NOT run anything into the intake manifold, nor you shell run a hose to the turbo inlet ... Do either exhaust or open breather after the catch can. I've tried so many catch can setups ... oh man ...

would you care to elaborate? with a check valve in place, positive pressure should not be able to enter the pcv system.

under light load, a slash cut makes MINIMAL vacuum. but the IM will see heavy vacuum

I don't know why people make this so complicated.

Just gut the PCV and run a hose to the ground, and another from the VC to the ground. Done.

the problem with running it just to the ground is you have NO VACUUM SOURCE

pcv system doesn't work too well without a good vacuum source. perhaps works a little bit, but no where near as effective if it had a good vacuum source. why do you think people spend so much on a vacuum pump just for their pcv setup?

yes. Catch cans don't catch everything ... oil gets through them, and goes into the comb.chamber, and that's not good.
