Default Carbon seal fitment?

I'm rebuilding a .60/.63 off a Buick Regal. The turbo uses a carbon seal. I was wondering how the seal goes in? Do I mate the flat side of the seal with the compressor backplate or the beveled side?

Here are some pics from a few years ago when I rebuilt my turbo. I'm pretty sure this is a carbon seal. I made a diagram showing the order the parts of the seal go in. Excuse my ms paint skills.

If this isn't a carbon seal disregard this message. lol
