----, we might as well just delete the god damn user FAQ. Please look there next time you have a question like this and if you don't find the answer, then post your question.

It is a spring that people use for a carburator, usually to pull the throttle closed when you let off the gas (for safety, against stuck throttles, carbs have a tendancy to get stuck sometimes...)

the carb spring is easy to setup but is annoying. After a while the spring heats up and it weakens giving you less boost. Say you want to run 8lbs. You must get a spring that holds about 10lbs at first then after a day or two the spring will weaken and it will stay around 8lbs. Get it?

How long did it take you to go from 15 to 11 psi? I am planning to use this method as soon as my piping, VAFC and guages get here.

I am still a little unsure about this method even after reading the faq, would heating the spring in an oven, with it stretched out give it a more consistent pull? I am shooting for 8 psi.

It took about 3 months for me, but it eventually did it. I just pulled it off and rolled the ends in further. Back to normal.
