car won't boost over 7 psi, bad turbo?

Re: car won't boost over 7 psi, bad turbo?
well i pulled the wastegate line and just left it open to the atmosphere
, when thru a 1st and 2nd gear run and still got only 7psi,
then i went and pluged the line with a vacuum block(the wastegate actuator) and i
when for a nother run thru 1st and 2nd and in 2nd
i got about 9 or 10psi.
also this is on a internal wastegate.
thanks

think my problem might me my wastegate, cause in both set-ups i had to mount the gate with a bracket, and not to the comp housing like it is stock, with the new .60/.63 t3 i had to mount the gate further away form it's old mounting point and it moves a little when it starts opening, im going to add a nother brace to it and see if that helps.
or im going to try a diffrent wastegate.
thanks

when the gate is fully closed(no psi) it doesn't move at all it secured nicely.
now when you ably pressure to the wastegate via the vaccum hose, when i reaches 4 or 5 psi(stock wastegate setting), the wastegate rod will start to move like it's sopose to, but there is to much force for my braket and it will pull the gate back about a 1/4 inch.
here is a example........ my wastwegate rod moves left to open the flapper door, so the rod starts to move left and there is enough force there to move the acutaor to the right about a 1/4 inch, then once pressure is gone the rod moves back and the mount moves back and it is fully closed, meaning the flapper door is complete closed also i had check to make sure it was fully closing the flapper door.
it's kinda hard to explain, maybe this will help some more.

Yeah gear totally affects how much boost you can make with certain engine turbo combos. Especially if you have a lager turbo and a smaller engine. not a real good example but my engine is an f22a1 and my turbo is a evo 16g6 9.8t off an 04 evo. it''t a larger size turbo for astock dsm but it match's my motor pretty good really. But I can't build hardly any boost in first. in second it comes on just a little slower then in third but third and up the boost is when ever you want it.
