i ran 15.4 with a stock DPFI civic HB with a 75 shot. My best is 15.1 with MPFI and 75 shot, a clutch and slicks would get me into the low 14s- high 13's, but 12's is just unrealistic, at least get a D16A6.

DSM turbo 15 psi
Really thick copper gasket from SCE
450cc injectors
FMIC
Water/alcoy injection
boost timing retard
slicks and GOOD clutch, you could mabe bust a 12 sec et. But don't think the motor is going to last forever...

a guy on SHO claims to have run 11s with a d15, so I don't think that 12s are impossible. jeff, I didn't mean anything bad by saying all you seem to do is blow them, I noticed that you tried to kill them, and you knew they would die. I haven't set on a goal yet, that's why I posted because I "can't decide" I need to find my goal. After reading your replies, and talking to my older brother who has done plenty of things the wrong way, so he must know by now, says that I should save up for the b-series (I hope to get an 18 or 20), then do everything right, and very slowly so I don't mess up, so that I will have a beastly car in a half decade or so.

A new question: what do you think I would have to do to beat a lude with bolt ons, it is one of the newer ones. would fi be a requirement, or could I do it with some mean weight reduction and basics?

do those electric blowers actually get any horsepower at all, the little tech thing on the front page wasn't real clear on whether or not it gave power, I know it's a piece of crap, but if it will give me 10 hp, I'll use it for one race, or more, plus if I paint it it could be a show piece.

err, you can run 11s on a SOHC d15, with built rods/pistons/block. no one said you couldn't.

Refer to step 3:

"It caused more of a restriction than anything. Not to mention it sounds really stupid. Its More like -10hp"
so which is it? did it cause restriction (which I think would rob horse power) or give 10hp?
I'm undecided about alot of things right now, one of them remains what to do with my car, as of now it's nothing because I'm lazy and have no money.
what would be the average and high-low cost of building a d series, and building a b series?
