Default Can you relocate the intake side?

I've never taken apart a turbo before so I if sound ignorant, it's because I am. I just want to find out of you can take the intake size of the housing off of a t3/t4 turbo and turn it in another direction to make it easier to run the pipes to the intercooler. Can I do this, or is the housing set up up to work in one direction omly?

You can rotate the compressor housing 360 degrees to any spot you want. Some turbos use snap rings to hold the compressor on, some have a few bolts holding it on. Once you loosen them up, it should slide to wherever you want it. But if you mean comletely taking it off and flipping it around? I'm not sure what you mean.

I just trying to point the port that goes into the intercooler in another direction so it's easier to hook it to the intercooler piping. I think I will figure it out as soon as I have to turbo in my hands...
