it's a gt3782 from a ford powerstroke. AKA GTP38.

You need 4 volvo S40 engines to feed this turbo!!!

either way, the generic gt3782 you saw on the garrett website AND your 100% powerstroke turbo would both look very good in a volvo S40, but not under the hood.

Part number crosses to an International diesel turbo: http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=4&gl=us

It's also collecting eGay hits for Volvo S40, but those things get small Mitsu turbos not larger split scroll Garretts. Junk info.

I know the older Powerstroke GTP38's had similar part numbers - 1843761C93, for example - but I'm not up on any GT37 action. If you could cough up a real Garrett PN I (or BLAAST, I am sure) could be real handy about that.

OK wait before you go threw the trouble of putting it on let me tell you how it played out for me. I put one those exact turbos on my built LS B18a1. here is the ups and down side. When i had it on ok, my car redlines at 7300. I didnt get any boost in first gear, NONE and no boost in second gear, all this was WOT. third gear sluggish till 5000rpm and then the power unleashed. It was so dam fast. I had a turbonetic wastegate at 7psi and it would destroy the tires at 70mph when i got boost lol. But other than the fact that you have barley any boost, i had a 50mm tial bov and still i would blow a charge pipe off everytime i would shift no matter what i did to hold them things together. it was cool and big and fun to pop my hood but it wasnt worth the time an money, specially on my daily driver
