Default Can I make my manifold with my MIG-I searched

Ive got all the needed Turbo parts laying on my garrage floor and my 96 lexus lx450 is almost all torn apart for the build. I hope to start tacking my exhaust manifold together tomorow with weld els and my millermatic 175. I am a good welder with my MIG. Is there anything wrong with doing the final weld with my MIG? This question isn't addressed well on the forum. This is my first (and not last) turbo build. Thanks

Dusty

Should be fine with a mig...just make sure to get good penetration and a good seal. Hell, i made my entire manifold with my mig welder and it works fine...just looks like butt :P

the only problem with a mig is the that the ones "WE" usually have in our garages are not very high powered, yes you can weld 2 pieces of metal together but not very well.

most issues wirh mig is penetration, and you have to move as fast as the wire is feeding

can you get away with it...........yes
