I always did what jeff said, exactly. I once did a burn out past the tree, and he said, they had to go back and re-set the computer, because the computer starts the race once you go past the tree...makes sense to me.

try to NOT get your tires wet, go around the water pit, and then do a big smokey burn out. your tires wont be wet and will heat up faster. (just an idea)

That is the best feeling on slicks. Last friday when I was at the track I was trying to do huge burnouts in my drag radials and I kept forgetting to let the e-brake go. When I would get my back tires out of the water pit I started hearing a really loud tire scretching noise. Eveybody that was standing around kinda looked at me funny then I realized I still had the e-brake on and my back tires were just sliding lol.

I usually set my Uberdata's full throttle launch at 7500 rpm, pull the e-brake, floor it for a few seconds, then drop the clutch. when you start to see white smoke, drop the e-brake, and when you feel your *** end drop into the dip for the water, let go of the gas and mash the brakes

Try to tell them to wet down the box before you enter and keep your rear wheels out of the water.

I gotta know...what did you run on slicks? You better have hit 12's.
