Default Building my first manifold, looking for a few tips

I am gonna do my first one in mild steel, save myself some money cause it'll probably end up kinda wacked.

simple question really, wondering what kinda sizing I should do on the tubing.

i was thinking like 1.75" x .120wall, too much wall thickness? not enough? should i go 1.5"?

also, whats the common angle to notch the tubing for the collector?

1.5" on the runners, and you weld the flange on the manifold at the angle it works best in your car. Test fitting will work.

I would buy one of those already made collectors. Would make things a lot easier.

that ht link shows what a bunch of asshats are on ht, and it has a little collector info. hmt= teh best. shitbird makes and sells collectors, yet he still helps people put them together on their own.
