Default BUILDING MY FIRST HMT KIT

so as of right now, I had planned on using a 1990 ford probe sm, a 14b turbo, type-s bov, probably custom manifold and piping. ***edit(would it be better to buy a manifold or take an hf exaust manifold and make my own? i know welders and machine shopists)***1 major question is does the 14b have an internal wastegate? if not, what would be a good external one to get?

planned on running this on a d16y8 mini-me, but i'm thinkin i might just skip the mini-me and toss the turbo on the d16a6.

any suggestions or comments, please feel more than free.

Definetely do go minime, waste of time and a headache, a6 boosted will be fine for your first

As for your manifold, go ------- search

An HF with an adapter plate is dirt cheap, so is a sinktrap, but an aftermarket log will outflow both and hold your turbo up higher for easy oil drain and downpipe/charge pipe routing

You better plan on tuning this ----

yeah I plan on it. there is no sense in spending the time money and effort in building something without doing it 100%.
as far as the manifolds go, what all is the difference between mr. ebay seller's and a big companies? I know we all like ebay prices more but if they're ---- compared to the other stuff then fuckit, i guess thats where the time comes in and the saving cash comes in

alright, couple more questions.

1. besides turbo, turbo manifold, intercooler, bov, what all do I need to add to the kit to make it a full kit? (not including piping.)
using a 14b and a sidemount, and only planned on 6-8 psi for the time being, just since this is my first hmt.

2. where would be the best place to put the sidemount? its off a 90 probe gt. The only thing i could really think of is relocating the battery and stashin it in that area.

3. since nobody answered my 14b internal wastegate question, i'll assume that it has one. but the question is, how do i set it to the psi that i want it to open at?
