How high were you revving the z6 head? I remember you said 8400 rpm with the y7 head...

About the same rpm.

No need to go higher at this point without retarding cam timing.

What about the rods that you had used? Were they checked to be within specs?

They were brand new.

Its really not a big deal, things like this happen all the time.

Pics of the bay are up here somewhere.

On a side note I pulled the motor out today, gonna tear it down tomorrow.
