Re: Budget Z6 made 309.9/250. Xenocron Tuned.
show me some ------ dyno sheets that show some sort of massive power gain from buying a 60 mm throttle body and I will believe you. Until then your flowbench and words mean nothing.
By the way for your enjoyment: "No longer will owners of the popular Honda Civic and Acura Integra be forced to pay too much for a minimally improved, bored-out factory throttle body. While those modified stock units do flow slightly better, they are limited by their thin wall casting and restrictive shape. With BBK's popular power-plus series throttle bodies, a brand new computer-machined 356 aluminum allow casting and precision hardware guarantee much improved performance. In fact, chassis dyno tests have shown a solid 5-8 horsepower increase." damn massive power gain......and that is for a $220 throttle body. Notice it is actually designed to perform better not a stock honda throttle body from a b, f, or h-series motor like I mentioned. It is also 62 mm rather than 60 mm. So yeah if you really want to get into it a 5-8 hp gain isn't bad but are you guys the men of HOMEMADETURBO.com gonna go pay $220 for 5-8 hp? This is a site made around saving money anyway possible while still making more power. But yeah obviously I don't know what I am talking about. I'm done arguing its a waste of my time.

He sounds like a second rate cockmongler is what he sounds like.
5-8 whp is NA gains. The gains from a big fat healthy IM/TB combo on a turbo car has been proven time and again, where were you?

The fact he mentions a BBK piece of overpriced incorrectly functioning ----, as opposed to one of the affordable and robust alternatives, and thinks there is something wrong with a bored stocker soaked in orange chicken vs a piece of Darren Keo-loved BBK ----, kind of ticked me off.

Re: Budget Z6 made 309.9/250. Xenocron Tuned.
Here's a stock big port B18A1 with Vickie-X IM, 65mm overbored stocker, made 238 at 6 psi creepin to 7 and 268 at 8 psi creeping to 9, all on a crackalicious cc-fab/ching chong meow turbo combo.
Notice the torque doesn't fall off past 5200. Notice how the power doesn't flat spot from 6-7K. Welcome to not choking the system, despite LS having the WORST cams, except EA82, in the history of the internal combustion engine.

60mm throttle body was never mentioned I sell 65-83mm aka real man sizes and a 60mm is a stock b series sized throttle which is best for a NA street D series mild one at that. JD has already shown the results. HMT is buying alot of my throttle bodies and all with fantastic results and when D16Y8-Z6 wants more power Ill be glad to support the new generation of HMT builds. The vitara build is taking over and so are Pbtuning throttle bodies

Re: Budget Z6 made 309.9/250. Xenocron Tuned.
Where in the world did we get onto bbk's stickey throttle bodies. These are the ones to own https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=93716.0
He sounds like a wal mart employee
He also doesnt understand that modified factory throttle bodies require a new larger throttle plate to perform. Then you need a lathe/fixture and know the correct angles to cut at the plate and inlet also correct speed has well. This isnt something everyone can do unless you own a lathe/and fucked up alot of throttle bodies like myself or went to schooolz to learn how to run a lathe. This guy thinks grinding the back of a stock throtte body with a dremel makes it a bored throttle body.
Also the largest I have gone without idle issues on stock b series 94-00 b16a/b8b1/18c1 have been 64mm plates to a 67mm inlet hence why I went and found the best casted unit I could find and bought 100 of them.
Sorry for threadjacking back on track. Vitara builds are tiiiitttteeeeee
