Default Budget Turbo GSR...

----, I dont have all the pics oh well, I'll post them later. Heres the Story line.

My buddy Ted (cadracer) was doing a cheap *** turbo setup for a 96 Integra GSR. What does "cheap ***" mean, well that means with all the parts and install 1400 dollars. LOL, so you can only imagne how cheap this is going to be.

Snail of choice the popular Garrett T3 .60/.63 Tbird/Meurker/SVO turbo. This is a pretty goodsize turbo for the GSR, and will max out about 300whp. Picked this off of ebay for 90 bucks.

Using the Hotn3ss SSautochrome manifold. Ebay special of course. Ted braced the ---- out of the bottom of it, so hopefully it wont crack to bad.

Bling... Oil return fitting from Craig @ Tuner Toyz.

Since the SShomo manifold sits the turbo pretty close to the radiator, we couldnt use the stock T3 wastegate actuator. We used a spare T25 wastegate actuator modified to fit. (extending the arm basically)

Ted doing a fabulous job with the External wastegate block off plate. Using a chunk of his old ford bumper.

Test fit looks good. Also using a Stealthmode Oil line kit (oldschool -4) w/ a tunertoyz block fitting.

Intercooler off ebay.. No its not a Johnny racecar, or Custom coach. I dont know the brand, but it's just like them, maybe a touch smaller.

The customer didnt want anything cut off his bumper, so this made it difficult.

As you can see we were to lazy to dissconnect the radiator lines, so we just relocated the radiator for the install, HAHA

Looking good.. cardboard is always nice for test fits

As you can see the Stock Tbird/SVO/Merkuer exhaust housing aims the downpipe directly forward. Obviously thats not going to work.

So we hack the ****** off attach a 2.5 mandrel bend and weld a nice fatty bead with lots of heat. As you can see the welder we used didnt have gas. Fluxcore ownage

Block off plate installed

Me drilling out a hole on the aftermarket cold air intake pipe the guy had.

Only professionals use JB weld

Damn thats a nice bead if I've ever seen one!

Test fit of the intercooler with the bumper on..

I'll see if ted has anymore pics of the install. for fuel management, was using a FMU, and the ****** was still lean at 5psi. The customer has the car right now, and were getting it back shortly with a jumper harness OBD2-1 and a chipped p28 so this thing can actually perform.

More coming soon
