Broke backplate thing (PIC)
Get a new backplate. It'll leak like a ----------er among other things if you ran it. You can get them for cheap from G-Pop or maybe a sponsor on this site. I may have one for you too depending on what it is.
That's right where the piston seal rubs, IIRC. Old worn out turbos can have that issue.
W/o replacing it, it will leak. The problem is the piston seal may be bad too, so with a new backplate, it might still leak. Post a picture of the CHRA that it mates to, shaft and all. If the ring is fine (impossible to tell visually), a backplate would make it good as new, assuming you marked the exact position the wheel & nut were on the shaft.

This new pics are from the Nissan AR.60 that have the same problem, even whorst because all the ring from the backplate dissapeared
