Re: breaking in rebuilt engine

only problem is i sold my trd 4 to 1 header
i still have stock manifold but sold the stock downpipe. hahah.
so im still making a turbo manifold and downpipe. (i wont have an exhaust until the turbo mani is done)
could i run 0-1 psi? just balance it out as if its n/a?

Re: breaking in rebuilt engine
like everyone else said:
keep the turbo on the car,
make a few pulls at various engine loads, watch the boost gauge to stay out of boost. Do like 5 pulls, 10" 5" 0" up to redline and then let it wind down at max vacuum. It should increase for few times you do it. Now your rings are seated and your ready to beat the ---- out of it! If you used new bearings, i would run mineral oil untill your first oil change at about 500 miles.
