Brake line for turbo feed?
Friend of mine ran 3/16th hard line brake. he hugged the block and it looked mint after he was done. He ran the car for a good year and never had any issues, just wondering if he was lucky? or if it will work fine?

i used 1/4 brake line because my turbo has a 7/16 inverted flare feed port, which is the same thread on 1/4 brake line, and for the other side i used an adapter to go from 7/16 inverted flare to 1/8 pipe, so i could screw it into my sandwich plate on the motor.

your line might be too large, too much oil flow to the turbo will take out the turbo bearings and blow oil out the exhaust or even into you motor. I used a 3/16 line with a reducer fitting to fit the 7/16 size and it still flowed alittle too much oil so i crimped the 3/16 line with a flaring tool just alittle bit and the flow was good after that. I have been running that set up for almost 5 years now with no problems. of course crimping the line really depends on your oil pressure at the turbo you want to stay under 10 lbs of pressure cause you just want to lightly coat the bearings and shaft not submerge them in oil

thanks for the info. i work at an auto parts store, at first i wasnt sure of what line size to use, so i checked the size of feed lines for oem turbo cars, and some of them were 1/4. so i went with the bigger because i was worried about it not getting enough oil.
