my brother has the HKS SSQV on his evo and it makes the sound you are thinking of. just not at full boost. it makes one loud psht! if you are at low boost when you go off throttle, then it does the flutter. the drifters dont always hit full boost so thats probably why they sound like theyre fluttering.

I have a Turbo XS RFL and it is defintely loud. If I wouldn't have got that used I would have just bought a 1g DSM. Dave (leed) has a 1g DSM on his car and it sounds pretty good.

This is a funny ass ------- thread... ha ha... I've told many people about those drift car's sound. Fuckers wont believe me that it was a goddaym surge.

BTW, I have a Tial on my Teg with a softer spring and it makes a whooosh sound. My neighbor has the same Tial BOV with a stiffer spring and that bitch doesnt sound anywhere close to mine... it makes the fluttering sound... and yes I believe that it's a surge vice the BOV relieving pressure....

the guy is talking about the sound of a loud diverter valve, like say a mazdaspeed protege's "blow off" sound. let's just say, you're not gonna get that sound on a honda very easily, there are two ways I can think of to do it. get a shitty plastic bosch BOV and hook it back into your intake tract, or don't run a BOV at all. both will give you that sound, neither will work ass well as any normal BOV would.
