Hey guys/gals, which BOV makes the crazy sound in those JDM drift cars? Like, it doesn't make a single "Pssshhhhhhhh." It makes a series like...."PSsshhh.Psshsh..Pssh..Psh...then kinda fades away." WHICH ONE?!?!?!?!?!?!?

 

Drift cars are usually feathering the gas pedal so that is why it sounds that way instead of just shifting and hearing it once.

 

I know what feathering the gas sounds like! but the bov I'm speaking of sounds like a series of compressed air. What does the HKS super sequential sound like?

 

Its the free one called wastegate flutter.

This is the way wastegate flutter or compressor backspin sounds like. Disconnect your BOV and take it out, you'll hear what I'm talking about

 

if that's the case, then all turbo charged cars like GTi's and the like should be making this sound too with out a BOV? Because my friends GTi 337 doesn't do that, I can only hear it spool.

Yes, all turbo cars (except diesels) will make this sound if you disconnect the BOV, even your friends GTI

Ummm..I'm not looking for one big "PSSSHHHHH." I'm looking for the quick and alot of "pulsating" or "series" of Pssshhhh's! Any of you guys play Sega GT for XBOX?! I think it's the supra or the RX-7 that makes this sound..
