boost on a stock d16z6???
let me know how much boost can a stock d16z6 can handle
I will use a garrett M10 turbo...I think in boost like 8 to 10 psi...also let me know if this turbo (M10) will be a good set up for about 200-230 whp

That turbo and amount of boost should be fine on your motor, but nobody can garuntee you'll make a lot of power with it. Also, it won't last unless you have a good tune on it, use Uberdata if you're OBD-1.

Let's look at the pressure curve @ rod angle. 250 whp? For the most part the compressive load exerted on the rod is *ahem* bullshit. Now let's toss a little high freq detonation in there, which does not raise mean combustion pressures appreciably but sure as hell spikes momentarily to 2-3 times peak pressures. Remember - this is not the detonation you hear! Now we're jackhammering on the bottom end, metal fatigue sets in, and the bottom end blows to flinders. Was it 250whp, or was it detonation?
Maybe it's a bunch of amateur enthusiasts using the smallest possible used turbo they can find (which is usually harder on their engine than the "big" turbo they avoid because they "don't want to hurt anything"), not paying attention to thermal management, and developing a rule of thumb for "the usual" setup. Well, ---- the usual setup.
