Default boost reading prob

for some reason at WOT i am only getting .5psi - if that. my boost controller is set all the way down, is my boost gauge messed up? or is it something else (i have no leaks)?? also i have many T fittings off of that boost gauge...could that be my problem? also - when i was at idle sitting in my car, and move the wheel left to right and it would rev the car up around 200-500 rpms - what the hell could be causing that(vacuum) thanks

if you have power steering the movement of the wheel probably puts more strain on the engine because the power steering pump draws power from the motor, so the motor responds by trying to put out more power, so when the strain is let off by you no longer turning the wheel the motor revs up because the resistance against it is less.

as for your boost gauge, I don't know. I have a boost gauge that I know is fucked up, it reads 2.5psi at full boost and I'm supposed to have 7.5psi with my wastegate.

ya, i mean i can feel the spool up, but it def doesnt feel like 13psi. (i have the mbc all the way in) and that is what the fac wastegate is set on that turbo. i can't think of what could be causing that. but it can't be that i have too many t's coming off of that boost gauge...right? thanks kyle....that makes sense now.

checked for boost leaks?

checked to see that your wastegate is actually working? (yank on it a bit and see if the diaphragm broke.)
