Default Boost Question

I just fininshed installign my turbonetics turbo kit with the greatly appreciated help of douspray. But my question is that with the kit being for a prelude and my car beaing a accord the down pipe prevents me from putting my A/C line back on.... My thoughts are take the 3" down pipe and have a 2.5" down pipe made and that should give me clearance for the A/C line. So what do you all think? Will reducing it by .5" make that big a differance? I REALLY want A/C so just a few HP I will sacrafice. Or better yet does anyone know of any other way i can make this work? An A/C pump off something else or some clever thing like that.. I rather not hear "just roll your windows down" LOL I am realy trying to keep my A/C.

Please help all.

I think you will be fine running the reduced downpipe.. might increase spool time and reduce a little power, but it probably will not even notice it at all.

I will defintly keep the A/C i value my comfort over a HP or 2... I can have luxuries like A/C and PS and still run 13's. But how to keep my A/C is the question

It's possible that downsizing the downpipe will give you enough clearance. What line is hitting? the one off the side of the AC compressor? hmmm, maybe theres a way you can have another downpipe bent up in a fashion to clear the AC line... or make a custom bracket to move the Ac compressor farther away from the exhaust.

Thats what i was hoping someone may know about.. if they done it befor.. its hittign the line coming out the a/c pump... and there isnt much room to bend it a diff way.. so i think 2.5 will work best.. i hope..

Yeah, I don't quite know for sure because when I had that problem... I got pissed and just decided to remove AC :P Actually I had to remove mine because the turbo was hitting the compressor and there was no way to even attempt to fit a downpipe in there.
