boost controller

i bought a manual boost controller it goes up to 50 psi will it start at zero to 50 or will it start at like 20 or something because i put it on and it is all the way down and it hit like 22psi and i let off just wondering if something is wrong with if it is just the boost controller starts off that high thanks

if its the screw kind, tighten it all the way down for the lowest boost setting....and just for you info, just because some ebay idiot said it will go to 50 psi, doesnt mean ----, since its the turbo that makes boost
