im going to run my turbo at 6 psi do i need a boost controller ? should i go with joe's garage brand or a nice fancy one that looks good and is pricey ?

 

you only need a boost controller if you want to raise your boost easily. if you can get your waste gate set at 6 psi., and that's all you want, then no, you don't need one, if you set your waste gate lower than 6 psi., then you can use the boost controller to raise it to 6 psi., you can only raise boost with a boost controller, you can't lower it past what the w.g. is set at, you can only raise it and lower it back to what the w.g. is set at. did you get my payment?

well then, your wg is prolly set at 8 psi., and like i said, you can't lower it with a boost controller, you'll have to lengthen the actuator arm in order to lower it to 6 psi. you can just cut it and weld something in the middle to make it longer, or rig it some how.

 

my engine has 160k miles on it and runs great but do you think it can handle 8 psi of boost ? im running everthing stock but i will put a fuel regulator on with some bigger fuel injectors like maybe from a h22

 

no, you'll need an fmu at least. i have one i'll sell it to you for 55 shipped, just send my payment back for the injectors, and we'll call it a trade.
