I took my car to the dyno just to check and make sure everything was cool (air fuel, acceptable hp numbers, etc.) and the guys at the shop told me to upgrade my exhaust to 2 1/2 or 3" and get rid of or upgrade the cat (I live in PA; easy on emissions!) for an extra 20 hp. anyway, i have a deltagate set to 5psi and i've heard that if the exhaust is to free flowing, these wastegates will spike. I CANT AFFORD A SPIKE and i don't really want to spend 500 on a new wastegate!!! is this spike rumor true? any advice? thanks

 

ya you might get a spike, but there really only one way to find out if its gona happen with your setup. if your wastegate is in good condition it shouldnt spike up a lot and youull definately notice a big difference. im using the stock exhaust but a test pipe for the cat and it did make a difference in spool up time.lates
