Default Boost spiking

Hey what's up? Well I put my turbo on and I'm having a few problems. I have a B16 with a T3/T4, anyway I have a delta waste gate with the stock 5 lb. spring in it and its holding 5 lbs but it spikes at 9. I have a Apex AVC-R boost controller, will that help with the boost spiking? I would like to run 8 lbs but I'm afraid to turn it up because I don't want it to spike higher. Friday I should have my Hondata in so I don't have to worry about fuel management now. Well let me know what you guys think, O also my car won't idle anymore ever since I put the turbo on, it was idling fine but now its running rich as hell, I think that might be my problem. But I haven't done anything to the fuel so I don't understand why its so rich.

I supposed to "learn" I guess that's what the directions say. I'm going to try and set it up tomorrow when my hondata gets in so I don't blow my ---- up.

Do you have check valves or a missing link? That would make it idle abnormal. As far as the spiking where do you have the wastegate T'd in to? If its after the throttle body that can cause more boost spike but faster spool up. Do you have a nipple on the compressor housing? if you do try running the vacuum hose from the wastegate to that. That should give you a very little bit of lag, but it shouldnt spike?

Lets see some pics of the set up!

It idled screwed up before I put the turbo on, I've tried everything to fix it, I've replace everything that has to do with the idle. I have a P30 ECU right now "my engine is a B16 SIRII" so thats what ECU is supposed to be with it, but I have a P72 that I just had Hondata installed in yesterday and it should be here some time today. The vacuum line for the waste gate is run off the back of my Skunk2 IM, there was an extra port there that wasn't used so I used that. I'll post some pics, warning, I have the SScrap IM but I bought it before I found this sight and figured I'd use it until I have a little extra to buy a different one.

your wastegate vac line is WAY too long and is why u are having boost spikes. there should be a nipple on the actual turbo's compressor. Run the vac line there. if there's no nipple there, drill a hole and put one in as close to the turbo as possible.

and your idle.
